1. Dapat Terbang Dengan Cepat dan Lincah
Lalat memiliki sayap yang fleksibel dan karena ukurannya yang kecil dan ringan, lalat dapat bergerak sangat cepat dan lincah sehingga sulit tertangkap dengan tangan kosong. Lalat memiliki kecepatan terbang 5 mil per jam (mph). Bahkan, ketika mereka terasa terancam, mereka bisa tiba-tiba melesat jauh dengan kecepatan hingga 15 mph.

2. Lalat dapat melihat kesegala arah
Lalat memiliki ribuan lensa kecil atau disebut dengan omatidia (sel-sel penerima cahaya) yang membentuk mata. Membuat lalat dapat melihat secara 360°, serta mudah mendeteksi setiap gerakan yang ada di sekitarnya. Mata lalat ada dua dan masing-masing mata memiliki sekitar 4000 lensa yang mampu melihat hampir ke segala arah. Tapi sayang sekali, walaupun matanya memiliki lensa yang sangat banyak, lalat tidak dapat melihat dengan baik dan rabun.
3. Lalat memiliki penciuman yang tajam
Berdasarkan penelitian, lalat bisa mendeteksi makanan dalam jangkauan penciuman sekitar 2-7 km. Lalat mencium bau menggunakan bulu-bulu yang ada pada tubuhnya.
4. Lalat hewan berumur pendek
Lalat merupakan jenis hewan berumur pendek. Jenis lalat rumahan, hanya mampu hidup kisaran 30 hari saja. Walaupun demikian, ternyata lalat betina mampu bereproduksi dengan intens yang tinggi.
5. Sayap lalat bisa untuk obat
Beberapa peneliti di Australia menemukan fakta bahwa sayap yang dimiliki lalat, mengandung gen reflin yaitu zat yang bisa membantu menyembuhkan penyakit seperti gangguan saraf arteri dan meina bagi manusia.
